About me
I have an academic background in organic and polymer chemistry. In 2021, I graduated from the University of Padova (Italy) with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Subsequently, I moved to the University of Bologna because I wanted to focus more on sustainable chemistry and bioplastics. Two years later, in 2023, I got a Master’s degree in Low Carbon Technologies and Sustainable Chemistry, which is part of the school of Industrial Chemistry.
During my Master’s studies I undertook a 6-month internship at the University of Groningen (the Netherlands) in the Macromolecular Chemistry and New Polymeric Materials research group, where I carried out my Master’s thesis project about biobased reversible thermosets derived from lignin and cellulose.
Before graduating I had the opportunity to join the European e-Cost Action “Fur4Sustain – Furan based chemicals and materials for a Sustainable development”. In this short-term scientific mission, carried out at the University of Aveiro (Portugal), I studied the synthesis of biobased polyesters from furanic cyclobutanes.
These diverse experiences across Europe have fuelled my passion for research. I strongly believe that the network among young, motivated students through all Europe, that are working on the same aim, will bring an excellent sharing of knowledge and ideas. This is why I am thrilled to be part of the D-Carbonize Project, that holds great promise for contributing to a more sustainable development.
