HUSSEIN TABAJA

PhD student at CNRS and ULIEGE

About me

My name is Hussein Tabaja, I am a first year PhD student.

In 2017, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in “General chemistry” at the Lebanese University where I build a strong background in different fields of chemistry. Following that, I pursued my Master 1 degree in Molecular Chemistry at the same institution.

Alongside my studies, I developed a strong interest in teaching chemistry and gained practical experience as a tutor delivering chemistry to high school students for three years. After that, I pursued my master 2 degree entitled “Molecules, Catalysis, and Green Chemistry” at University of Rennes. During my thesis project, I worked in synthesizing selenium-based catalysts and testing them in various organic reactions.

I expect to build a strong interdisciplinary network around the European Union during my PhD program and to be challenged to make a meaningful contribution to the project. Furthermore, I am looking forward to deepening my knowledge of Polymerization experimentally as well as theoretically.
