Doctoral candidates

About me

I graduated in Chemistry in October 2022 at the University of Padova under the supervision of Professor Giulia Licini. My thesis project focused on the light-induced oxidative cleavage of vicinal diols in the presence of vanadium aminotriphenolate complexes. During this internship, I dealt with the synthesis, purification, and characterization of vanadium aminotriphenolates and vicinal aliphatic diols. Then I used the vanadium complexes to catalyse thermal and photo-oxidative cleavage of diols, following the reaction kinetics.

After graduation, I started working in Columbia Holding’s R&D department as a laboratory technician. There, I was dealing with polyacrylamide synthesis and the development of a novel catalytic process to produce a cationic monomer.

I think that D-Carbonize project can be a great opportunity to grow as a chemist and as a person, challenging myself in demanding but also enriching situations.
