PhD student at UHEI and RUG
About me
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Ferrara in 2018 and subsequently pursued a Master’s degree in Chemical Sciences, completing it in 2020. Throughout my academic journey, my focus centred on the field of photocatalysis and its applications to address diverse challenges. My Master’s thesis delved into the study of CdS-based systems with the aim of catalysing the reduction of organic compounds. This endeavour expanded my ability for innovative thinking and deepened my proficiency in exploring inorganic synthetic pathways.
Following my academic pursuits, I embarked on a professional journey, spending two and a half years at a company specializing in polyethylene packaging production. This experience allowed me to gain an in-depth understanding of polymer materials, both their strengths and their challenges, especially concerning recycling processes.
I am highly enthusiastic and motivated to contribute to the D-Carbonize Project. I firmly believe that this opportunity will enable me to push the boundaries of my scientific and professional capabilities. Moreover, I eagerly anticipate the prospect of collaborating with my fellow colleagues to achieve tangible and valuable outcomes.
